HyFuelUp project, together with the biomethane HE-funded projects BIOMETHAVERSE, METHAREN and SEMPRE-BIO, are holding a webinar via ZOOM on Wednesday 26 February (10:00h – 12:00h CET) to present the findings of our joint report called ‘State of Play of Biogas and Biomethane in Europe’. This second joint report on Policy Recommendations, drafted by the Cluster of Horizon Europe-funded projects on innovative biomethane production, was coordinated by the HyFuelUp project.
In addition to making the report public for the first time, we will address the following issues:
- The analysis of NEACPs and countries’ potential against their targets
- Highlights of the deployment of biomethane in different European countries
- The pathway towards a harmonised cross-border transfer of biomethane certificates
- Challenges of biomethane trading
- Policy and market recommendations
- Forecasts and future of biogas and biomethane production in the EU
Among the speakers, belonging to the four projects involved, we will count on the participation of our project coordinator, Gonçalo Lourinho (BIOREF CoLAB), and our C&D leader, Margarita de Gregorio (BIOPLAT). We will also be joined by Maria Georgiadou, European Commission Senior Expert.
