HyFuelp has been featured in the latest issue of EEBIONews, the newsletter of the EERA Bioenergy Joint Programme, a European network that brings together leading universities, research organisations, technology centres and innovation stakeholders working to advance research and innovation in bioenergy and the bioeconomy.
Published regularly, EEBIONews highlights European research initiatives, technological developments and collaborative projects that contribute to the transition towards a more sustainable energy system.
The article, authored by Francisco Gírio (LNEG) , Gonçalo Lourinho (BIOREF) and Paloma Pérez (Bioplat), introduces HyFuelUp’s vision and objectives, presenting the project’s innovative approach to sustainable biomethane production. It explains how HYFUELUP is demonstrating an efficient and cost-effective pathway for biomethane production at an industrial scale by combining gasification, methanation and renewable hydrogen.
The publication also highlights the collaborative nature of the project, bringing together partners from across Europe to advance technologies that can support the wider deployment of renewable gases and contribute to the decarbonisation of the energy sector.
Featuring HyFuelUp in EEBIONews provides an opportunity to share the project’s progress with the wider European bioenergy research community and to strengthen knowledge exchange across the sector.
