The HyFuelUp project is featured in the current issue of the trade journal Aqua & Gas (No. 9/2025) with a detailed 6-page article.
Our partner AlphaSYNT explains the special approach behind the project:
“A hybrid process in which continuous biomass gasification is combined with the flexible addition of green hydrogen for the first time. The result is robust and efficient methane production that can cope with both fluctuating gas qualities and volatile electricity prices”.
Among the technological innovations mentioned in the article, the fluidised bed methanation reactor developed by AlphaSYNT stands out, which is being used for the first time on an industrial scale under real conditions. This means that the HyFuelUp project is ready for market entry and is an important building block for the energy system of tomorrow.
