HYFUELUP project took an important step with the celebration on 2nd November of its M12 Steering Committee Meeting in magnificent Athens (Greece).
Representatives of every partner gathered together to share the advances in each Work Package and to exchange an overview, not only of the work that has already been done within the last 6 months but also of the future challenges this ground-breaking project will face, a future in which biomethane will be increasingly necessary.
Besides the meeting, HYFUELUP project’s partners, thanks to the intermediation of the host Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES), also had the opportunity to visit the water treatment plant of Psyttalia, which will play a major role in the project. Psyttalia Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) is the largest wastewater treatment plant in Greece and one of the biggest WWTPs in Europe and worldwide, with an average wastewater flow of approximately 730,000 m3/d. It was a unique opportunity to visit in person one of the phases that the project will go through as time progresses.
The project now faces a very important phase, as the different Work Packages begin to work together, always with the commitment and enthusiasm intact as on the first day.
