HyFuelUp participates in EUBCE 2025 to talk about innovation, collaboration and policies to boost biomethane

On Wednesday, 11 June, within the framework of the 33rd European Biomass Conference & Exhibition (EUBCE), the HYFUELUP project was represented at the parallel event organised by the GreenMeUp Project.

This Horizon Europe project, coordinated by the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES), aims to lay the groundwork for policymakers and stakeholders to develop better informed renewable energy policies and market uptake measures tailored to each country, to improve and complement the current biomethane policy in Europe.

Margarita de Gregorio, General Secretary of BIOPLAT, Spanish Biocircularity Technology and Innovation Platform (leader of D&C at HYFUELUP project), joined the ‘Driving biomethane forward: innovation, collaboration, and policy for market uptake’ panel, where various project representatives, as well as Maria Georgiadou, European Commission, DG R&I, explained their views on the new steps in biomethane.

Biomethane is vital for EU energy security and decarbonisation, and HE projects dedicated to biomethane development in Europe have made this clear during the EUBCE 2025, the perfect frame for the HYFUELUP project to keep creating synergies and liaisons with other EU projects.
