On 17 March, the HyFuelUp project was represented at the Clustering Event on Advanced Biofuels organised by CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, which brought together more than 30 Horizon Europe projects working on innovative biofuel solutions for aviation, maritime and heavy-duty transport.
The event provided a valuable platform for exchange among Research and Innovation Actions (RIA) and Innovation Actions (IA), fostering discussions on key technical challenges, knowledge sharing and opportunities to strengthen collaboration across the European research and innovation landscape.
Gonçalo Lourinho, coordinator of HyFuelUp, participated in the workshop, contributing to discussions and engaging with peer projects addressing similar challenges in the development and deployment of advanced biofuels.
Clustering events such as this play a key role in aligning efforts across EU-funded initiatives, promoting synergies and accelerating the uptake of sustainable fuel solutions in Europe.
In addition, the workshop featured the presentation of two relevant studies on advanced biofuels market uptake, further supporting informed dialogue within the community:
- Development of outlook for advanced biofuels
- Capacity building for biofuels
These exchanges contribute to reinforcing a shared vision and coordinated progress towards climate-neutral transport systems.
